About the Library
The Nathan Library is a specialist collection of books, journals and multimedia in the fields of optometry, ophthalmology, vision science and optics.
The Library houses a collection of around 100 journal titles, a number of which are unique to Australia. The older journals run from the 1940’s with some incomplete holdings in earlier years. There is a collection of some 2000 monographs and a diverse range of technical reports and miscellaneous materials.
The Library is also renown for it’s archival collection containing documents, books and large collection of audiovisual materials.
Access
The Library is open to all ACO members and staff and ACO student members.
Opening Hours
8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday
(open until 6.30pm on ACO Seminar Series evenings)
Borrowing hours are between 9.30am - 12.30pm Monday - Friday

Use of the Library
All authorised users are welcome to use the Library during opening hours.
Location
The Nathan Library is located on the first floor of the Australian College of Optometry, corner of Cardigan and Keppel Streets Carlton 3053.
