Supporters make it possible for us to continue delivering essential outreach care, directly impacting the well-being of people who might otherwise not receive care.
Outreach programs aim to improve access, working to reach people facing the most extreme financial, social and physical barriers to eye care by bringing the clinic to them.
This care enables individuals to access early diagnosis and treatment for eye conditions, along with subsidised prescription glasses or contact lenses, helping to prevent avoidable blindness and empowering them to see and live better.
About Outreach Eye Care
- Outreach services have grown to 300+ site per year, helping over 3,500 people annually
- Cost of delivering care has more than doubled from $108 per patient in 2018 to $233 in 2025
- Each week, we receive requests for outreach care that we cannot fulfil due to limited funding.
