That’s a wrap on the Orthokeratology Masterclass!
On Sunday 11 August we brought together optometrists for a highly interactive and enriching event focused on the innovative and rapidly evolving field of orthokeratology. Through engaging panel discussions and expert-led sessions, attendees deepened their understanding and honed their skills in this specialised area of optometry.
Special thanks to our expert presenters Philip Cheng, a fellow of the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, and Jacinda Van from the renowned specialty contact lens practice Richard Lindsay and Associates. Their invaluable insights on patient selection, lens fitting, managing expectations, troubleshooting common issues, and handling unexpected outcomes provided attendees with practical knowledge they can apply in their practice.
A highlight of the masterclass was the interactive demonstration by Philip and Jacinda using Eyespace software to empirically design lenses tailored to individual patients. This hands-on experience allowed attendees to see how advanced lens design techniques can be applied in real-world scenarios.
